Procurement issues | procurement public sector best-value
I'm interested to hear anyone's thoughts on the success and failures of public sector procurement processes - especially given that public sector commissions form such a huge part of the UK economy which we all operate in.
Procurement is a problematic issue which can be surrounded by so much focus on process and procedure that the delivery targets and results can so easily be forgotten. Sure, such processes are important to provide best value for the taxpayer but are those procedures really working?
I'm really encouraged to see the beginnings of a conversation relating to procurement here in the UK - so well done WT2 for providing this platform to facilitate some debate, and I look forward to reading people's opinions.
